Trout Stocking at Walker Park

The Sewickley Valley Conservation Association stocks Little Sewickley Creek in April.

This annual event provides an opportunity for children in the community to participate in stocking the stream. The event is a hands-on learning experience.

Participants meet at a shelter at Walker Park where a presentation is done by the club and then the children, accompanied by adults, can carry the fish (bring your own bucket) from the fishery truck to the stream and release the fish.

This event is sponsored by:  The Sewickley Valley Conservation Association and  Fern Hollow Nature Center.

Join us with the whole family!
 • Free of charge. No registration required.

We will place the trout in the bucket and then release them into Little Sewickley Creek, so we need to make sure we provide a clean bucket with fresh water for the fish.
