The Sewickley Valley Conservation Association (SVCA), formerly known as The Sewickley Shooting and Fishing Club, adopted its current name in 2017. The Association’s mission is to protect and conserve the natural resources, wildlife, air, soil, and heritage of the forests and streams of Allegheny and Beaver Counties, Pennsylvania. It also seeks to promote conservation, awareness, and enjoyment of these resources by sponsoring educational programs, initiatives, and community activities.The Association conducts mentored youth outdoor events designed to introduce young people to Pennsylvania’s natural resources through activities such as fishing, hunting, and wildlife observation. In addition, the Association supports forest and stream conservation efforts and owns and manages a large tract of land in Beaver County, adjacent to the Little Beaver River in the historic Cannelton Valley.
