About

The Sewickley Valley Conservation Association (SVCA) was formerly named The Sewickley Shooting and Fishing Club. We changed our name and became a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in 2017 to better represent our core objectives and activities.

The mission of the Sewickley Valley Conservation Association is to protect and conserve the natural resources, wildlife, air soil and heritage of the forests and stream of Allegheny and Beaver Counties, Pennsylvania and to sponsor education, programs and initiatives that promote their conservation, awareness and enjoyment.

The Association sponsors mentored youth outdoor events designed to introduce young people to an appreciation of the natural resources of Pennsylvania, including outdoor activities such as fishing, hunting and wildlife observation. The Association supports forest and stream conservation, and owns and manages a large tract of land in Beaver county adjacent to the Little Beaver River in the historic Cannelton Valley.
